The honors college council hopes everyone has a wonderful learning experience this semester and hopes we can make the semester slightly more manageable and fun. Please utilize this site for current information on events, plans, calendar changes, as well as a source of current photography and news via our newsletter. This site is just one additional avenue of communication for the honors college body. Thanksgiving Break!
The HCC wishes everyone a happy thanksgiving. Stay safe, eat lots of food, and perhaps watch a little football. We hope everyone gets a few days to recharge their batteries before finals and the slew of tests.

Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF provides children with health care,clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief, and more. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s work through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States. Fall 2009 Drop Deadlines
Classes dropped / withdrawn from on or before the census date (September 9th, 2009) will not appear on your transcript.
Classes dropped after the census date (September 9th, 2009) but before the 2/3rds point in the semseter will appears as a 'W' or 'F' on your transcript depending on your grade at the time of dropping. Trick-O-Treat for UNICEF
HCC plans on participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this Halloween season. Change / coins / money will be collected to benefit kids around the world. A small donation can make a huge impact. For more information on the program please read here.Next Meeting: January 20th
The next HCC get-together will be on January 20th in the CAB reading room for a cupcake social aimed at getting to know new members and as a way of "breaking the ice" for the winter semester. Come and join the honors college for some sugary treats!
Veneratio Articles Needed
Like to write? The HCC newsletter (called the Veneratio) is always looking for new articles / ideas / contributors. Articles submitted are distributed to the entire hcc (the perfect audience for an aspiring/beginning writer). This semester HCC will be assembling a committee to help prepare the newsletter.
